Song thrush and blackbirds xxx

I was delighted to see this song thrush in my garden today !....

It stayed here for a long time, having a drink, and being chased off by the blackies!!!!..

..It was enjoying the christmas cake i put out!!!! xxx...

..and so were the blackies!!! Some strange body language going on with this one!!!....

They are so lovely xxx

beautiful thrush karen,only get them in really cold weather in my garden but they dont stay long.

Welcome to my garden

Hi, my name is karen. I live in worcestershire in a little cottage, with a very little garden! It is the first garden i have had of my own, so im very proud of it! It has allowed me to do my little bit for wildlife, which i have always been very interested in. I love all animals and wildlife. So i am happy to be providing for the birds in my garden, i find it fascinating! I dont get all the birds i would like, but who does!!! My garden is my haven, my escape from the stresses of work! I have a very busy and stressful , but rewarding job in hair replacement, where i look after people who are losing their hair, and we also do alot of work with children with cancer etc, so it can be quite traumatic! so its good to be able to switch off in my garden! I hope to bring you all lots of pics of my birds, so i hope you continue to view my blog. Thankyou all for your interest, karen x
